Before you bring in your quilt to me, please take note of the following steps. This is a big help to me.
Please sandwich your quilt the following way:
Lay backing out flat, wrong side up.
Lay the batting on top of the backing.
Lay the quilt on top of the batting.
Place a safety pin at the top left corner of all three pieces.
Fold all layers together as laid out.
Backing and quilt top should be pressed.
Make sure all seams are secure, especially the ones at the edge of the quilt top.
Make sure all loose threads are trimmed. If they aren’t, they may show through on lighter fabric in the quilt.
The quilt top should measure the same through the center and edged both horizontally and vertically.
Seams in the backing fabric should be about a half inch wide.
Backing fabric and batting should be squared and be 8″ longer in both length and width. For example, if your quilt measures 50″ by 80″ the backing and batting should measure 58″ by 88″.
